Osage Visitors Center at Lake Ozark: What It Is and When It Opens
Before any casino decision, the Osage Nation is opening a Visitors Center near Bagnell Dam in Lake Ozark — expected in late summer 2026. It’s the Nation’s first physical presence at the Lake and the first piece of its larger plans here.
What’s inside
- Cultural exhibits — the Osage Nation’s history, language, and traditions, and its ancestral connection to Missouri, including the land around the Lake
- Retail — Osage-made goods and gifts
- Coffee shop — a stop on the way to the Strip or the dam overlook
Location and timing
The center is on Bagnell Dam Boulevard in Lake Ozark, near the dam and a short walk or drive from the Bagnell Dam Strip (see it on our map). The Nation has pointed to a late summer 2026 opening; we’ll post the confirmed date and ribbon-cutting details on the Casino Tracker and in news as soon as they’re announced.
How it relates to the casino
The Visitors Center is Phase 1 of the Osage Nation’s plans at the Lake and does not depend on the casino application. The proposed $60 million casino and hotel — a separate project a short distance away at Bagnell Dam Blvd & Osage Beach Pkwy — still awaits a federal land-into-trust decision. The full picture is in our project explainer.
